Streetsville Memorial Park is located at 355 Church
Street, along the banks of the Credit River. The Park offers a minor
soccer field, softball diamond, batter's box, Vic Johnston Arena
and Community Centre, fishing, pedestrian trail and an outdoor pool.
The Park also offers shady spots, picnic grounds, one comfort station,
barbecues, a playground and nature trails.
Streetsville Memorial Park has been the home of agricultural fairs
since as early as 1843. It was also the fairgrounds of the Toronto
Township Agricultural Fair for over 100 years. Since 1973, when many
residents were concerned that the Town would lose its identity when
it officially became part of Mississauga, the Park has been the location
of Streetsville's annual Bread and Honey Festival in June, attracting
thousands of visitors every year. |
