| 27 Mill Street |
| After Timothy Street died in 1848, his wife Abigail moved in with
her daughter and son-in-law who lived in this Ontario Regency-style brick
residence. The mother of 12, Abigail was predeceased by eight of her
children but lived long enough to see her son, John Street, become the
first Reeve of the newly incorporated Town of Streetsville in 1858. A
notable feature of this well maintained private residence is the corbelled
frieze in brick on the front façade. |
