Fulton House (1880) |
|
|
| 34 Thomas Street |
| John Graydon built this residence for his sister, Sarah, and her husband,
Joseph Fulton, an employee of Barber’s Mills. The couple, who married
in 1873, moved into this home in 1888. Note the use of colored glass
on the south-facing front façade which was not uncommon in the
houses built towards the end of the 19th century. The intricately carved
verge-board is a stylistic element which adds to the appeal of the building
that is now used for commercial purposes. |
